Gandhi Nagar college conducts workshop on ‘Digital India’

Tribune News Service: 7Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar, organised a workshop on “Digital India” on the college premises here today.

Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the college, inaugurated an exhibition. She appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the project saying that the project would bring revolution in all the sectors, including education.

The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp, followed by singing of the National Anthem. Dr Surinder Sharma talked about the objective of organising the workshop. Dr Anupama Gupta, presented a power-point presentation on “Vision of Digital India”.

Prof Darvinder Singh Oberoi was the resource person, who threw light on the importance of digitalisation in every sector of the economy. Students also presented their views on different topics such as “Effective use of information communication and technology (ICT) for efficient education”, “Digitalisation in higher education” and “Gurukul - Digitally yours”.

Sakshi Bhagat was adjudged first, whereas Kritika Mengi and Simrandeep Kour secured the second and third positions, respectively, in the exhibition. Bharti Tak got the consolation prize.
